Ken Bediako

Ken Bediako (* 1940 or 1941 as Emmanuel Kwaku Bediako ) is a Ghanaian sports journalist .

Career

Bediako was born as the son of the school principal Alfred Lawrence Angua (ALA) Bediako from Amanokrom ( Eastern Region ), who died in 1978 , and had ten siblings. He attended Abuakwa State College in Kibi , has worked as a sports editor for the Daily Graphic since 1962 and reported, among other things, on the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. Bediako also worked as the head of the service of the Kotoko Express , Asante Kotoko's club magazine . In August 1968 he co-founded the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), which, among other things, annually awards the Footballer of the Year . In 2004 Bediako was appointed a board member of the National Sports Council of Ghana . His publications on Ghanaian football are considered standard works.

Bediako had his first name changed in honor of US President John F. Kennedy .
