Ken Casey (* 1969 ) is the bassist and singer in the Irish-American band Dropkick Murphys .

In 1996 he founded the band with Rick Barton and Mike McColgan , and is the last founding member still active in the band today. He is known for his melodic vocals and his punk rock- oriented bass playing.

Casey lived in Hingham , Massachusetts for a long time until he eventually moved to Milton, the same state, with his family .

The dropkick Murphys song Boys On The Docks is dedicated to Casey's grandfather, John Kelly , a union worker in the mid-twentieth century. Casey is the owner of McGreevy's Third Base Saloon , a bar in the Back Bay of Boston , near Fenway Park . This is dedicated to "Nuf Ced" Michael T. McGreevy , founder of the Royal Rooters , a former fan club of the Boston Red Sox .
