Ken Scott (born April 20, 1947 in London ) is a British sound engineer and music producer .

Life and accomplishments

At the age of 16, Scott began working in the audio library at Abbey Road Studios . There he became a sound engineer and worked for The Beatles , Jeff Beck , Pink Floyd , The Hollies and Procol Harum , among others . Procol Harum's album A Salty Dog was mixed by Ken Scott at Abbey Road Studios in the spring of 1969.

He then moved to Trident Studios , where he worked for Elton John , George Harrison , Harry Nilsson , the Mahavishnu Orchestra and America .

He later produced albums for David Bowie , Supertramp , The Tubes , Dixie Dregs , Devo , Missing Persons , Kansas , Level 42 and, more recently, Duran Duran and George Harrison.
