Kengo Kawamata ( Japanese 川 又 堅 碁 , Kawamata Kengo ; born October 14, 1989 in Saijō , Ehime Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

society

Kawamata began playing soccer at the Shū SS club in elementary school, then for the soccer club of his middle school Tōyo- East (~ -Higashi), and later that of the Komatsu high school. At the same time he received a special permission to play for the second division Ehime FC in 2006. After graduating from school, he was hired by the first division club Albirex Niigata and loaned to the Brazilian club GE Catanduvense in 2010 and to the Japanese Fagiano Okayama in 2012 . From 2014 to 2016 he played for the first division club Nagoya Grampus . In 2017 he moved to the first division club Júbilo Iwata in Iwata . By the end of 2019, he played 73 times in the first division and scored 26 goals. In 2020 he signed a contract with JEF United Ichihara Chiba . The club from Ichihara plays in the second division of the country, the J2 League .

National team

In 2015, Kawamata made his debut for the Japanese national soccer team . With the Japanese national team, he qualified for the 2015 East Asian Cup .
