The Kenibuna Lake is about 8.7 square kilometers large lake in the southwest of Alaska (USA), 155 kilometers west of Anchorage .
The 369 m high lake is located west of Chakachamna Lake , to which Kenibuna Lake is drained. In between is the Glacial Lake Shamrock Lake , of the Shamrock glacier fed. Kenibuna Lake is located on the dividing line between the Alaska Range in the north and the Neacola Mountains , part of the Aleutian Range , in the south. The Neacola River flows into the southwestern bank of the lake and the Igitna River into the northwestern bank of the lake . The Neacola River is fed by several glaciers and transports a considerable amount of sediment, so that the western part of the lake is about to silt up. The western part of the lake is located in Lake Clark National Park .
The lake's Native American Tanaina name was reported by the US Geological Survey (USGS) in 1928 .
