Kenneth Viglianisi (born May 16, 1992 in Scilla ) is an Italian basketball player who also has German citizenship.

career

The son of a German mother and an Italian father played basketball and soccer as a teenager. In basketball, he went through the youth department of Viola Reggio Calabria. From 2009 to 2012 he played for the second division Pallacanestro Reggiana in the Legadue , but only came to sporadic appearances in the men's team, during which mainly continued to receive match practice in the youth team. From 2012 to spring 2014 he played for PMS Turin in the third highest division in the country, Division Nazionale A.

After a detour on loan to Derthona Basket Tortona and a return to Turin, Viglianisi joined the second division club Sportivo Pallacanestro Trapani in 2015 , for which he played until the end of the 2017/18 season.

In June 2018, Viglianisi was signed by the Central German BC , thus switching to the basketball Bundesliga . At the end of October 2018, he left the club again, up until then he had played four Bundesliga games for MBC, in which he scored an average of 0.5 points and a rebound. He returned to Italy and joined the second division side Bertram Tortona. For the 2019/20 season he moved to an Italian second division club, Eurobasket Rome .

Private life

Viglianisi learned to play the double bass and attended a conservatory .
