Kent Gudmundsen

Kent Gudmundsen (born March 5, 1978 in Harstad ) is a Norwegian politician of the conservative party Høyre . He has been a member of parliament in Storting since 2013 .

Life

Gudmundsen studied business administration at the University of Tromsø and then worked as an independent entrepreneur. From 1999 to 2015 he sat in the Fylkesting of what was then the province of Troms . Gudmundsen was part of Fylkesråd from 2009 to 2013 , where he was responsible for education. In 2011 he became a member of Tromsø's local parliament .

Gudmundsen entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2013 general election . There he represents the constituency of Troms and he was initially a member of the church, education and research committee. After the 2017 election , he became Deputy Chairman of the successor committee, the Committee on Education and Research.
