Kent Williams

Kent Williams (* 1962 in New Bern , North Carolina ) is an American illustrator , artist and comic book writer.

In 1980 he went to the Pratt Institute in New York City to study art and painting . His major works include: Blood: A Tale (1987), Wolverine: Meltdown (1990), Tell Me, Dark (1992), Wolverine: Killing (1993), Destiny: A Chronicle of Deaths Fortold (1997), The Fountain ( 2005).

Kent Williams also published numerous art and sketch books, including Koan (2001) , in collaboration with the comic artist Jon J. Muth , with whom Kent Williams had already worked on Wolverine: Meltdown .

He has continued to illustrate for magazines such as Playboy , Omni and The Learning Channel Magazine.

Kent Williams has received multiple awards including: the Yellow Kid Award from the Lucca Comics Salon , three medals from the Society of Illustrators , New York, and the Joseph Henniger Award for Best of Show, from Illustration West 32.

Kent Williams now lives in Los Angeles , California with his two sons Kerig Sun and Ian Kai.
