The Kerameikos Painter ( Cerameicus Painter ) was one of the first Attic black-figure vase painters. He was sometime around the year 600 BC. Active.

The Kerameikos Painter is temporally placed between the Nessos Painter and the Gorgo Painter , although chronologically he seems somewhat closer to the Gorgo Painter. He is less productive than the Gorgon Painter and painted in a simpler but more fluid style. He got his emergency name from his name vase , which was found on the Athenian Kerameikos . It is about an Olpe , which can be considered exemplary for the vase painting of the time. The animal friezes that divide the vase into several individual areas are of particular importance. A single mythological figure in the upper area is flanked by two lions, which were particularly popular at the time.
