The Mettlach Ceramics Museum is a museum about the history of ceramics and the company history of Villeroy & Boch .

The industrial history museum is located in Mettlach . It is located on the first floor of the baroque Old Abbey of Mettlach , headquarters and historical production location of Villeroy & Boch . Here the exhibition is shown on two levels.

The Mettlach Ceramics Museum , also Keravision and Ceramics Museum , is operated by Villeroy & Boch . It was opened as Keravision on the company's 250th anniversary in 1998 , represents the company's history and presents numerous exhibits from more than 250 years of production. The exhibition is structured chronologically and begins with exhibits from the predecessor companies from the mid-18th century, which later became Villeroy & Boch .
The focus of the collection is on crockery made of earthenware and porcelain . This is presented as part of the table culture in numerous appropriate place settings. Also on display are building ceramics, especially the Mettlach slabs , floor and wall tiles with numerous different decorations , sanitary ware and other ceramic items such as vases , decorative objects, tiled stoves, sewage pipes and porcelain insulators . Objects that did not belong to the main line of production, such as products from the company's own glassworks, are also presented . In addition, memorabilia from the family history are shown.
A visitor café is furnished with the interior of a historic milk shop.
