Kerkyon

Theseus and Kerkyon ( Aison , 5th century BC )

Kerkyon ( Greek Κερκύων ) is a figure from Greek mythology .

He is a son of the sea god Poseidon or Hephaestus . He ambushes hikers to force them to wrestle and kill them. He is finally defeated by the hero Theseus .

Kerkyon is the father of Alope .
