The Kermen Peninsula ( Bulgarian полуостров Кермен poluostrow Kermen ) is a 1.5 km long peninsula with at the southern end of Robert Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies between Micalvi Cove in the northwest and Bransfield Strait in the southeast. Its southwest half is not covered in snow in the Antarctic summer.
British scientists mapped it in 1968. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2006 after the city of Kermen in southwestern Bulgaria .
