Kerstin Christiane Radomski (born November 1, 1974 in Hüls ) is a German politician in the CDU . She has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2013 .

Life and work

After graduating from Fichte-Gymnasium in Krefeld , Radomski studied biology and geography to become a teacher. After completing her studies and legal clerkship in 2004, she taught at the forest school in Eschweiler. At the beginning of 2008, she switched to the Mönchengladbach-Hardt comprehensive school, where she is now a teacher in the subjects of biology and geography. Radomski is divorced and has two daughters.

Political party

Radomski joined the Junge Union (JU) and its parent organization CDU in 1999 and was a member of the state board of the JU from 2001 to 2003 and chairwoman of the JU district association Niederrhein from 2003 to 2008 . She has been a member of the CDU district executive board in Krefeld since 1998, a board member of the CDU Niederrhein since 2008 and a member of the state executive committee of the CDU NRW since 2006.

Voluntary work

She is a member of the Natural Science Association of Krefeld e. V., in the Verein für Heimatkunde e. V. Krefeld 1918 and in the German Forest Protection Association (SDW). In addition, she is involved in the Krefeld women's associations (AKF), which is held annually and a. “Play without a satchel”, a free holiday offer for children and young people in the Krefeld city forest that takes place in the first week of the summer holidays.

Bundestag candidacy

Kerstin Radomski first applied for the direct mandate in the Bundestag constituency Krefeld II - Wesel II , which includes the cities of Krefeld as well as Neukirchen-Vluyn and Moers, but lost 35.1 percent of the first votes against Siegmund Ehrmann from the SPD . In the 2013 federal election , Radomski entered the German Bundestag with 40th place on the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia . In the direct election, she narrowly failed to win against Ehrmann with 40.1 percent of the first votes. In the 2017 Bundestag election , she was directly elected to the Bundestag for the first time with 36.8 percent.
