Ketil Haugsand

Ketil Are Haugsand (born June 13, 1947 in Norway) is a Norwegian harpsichordist , conductor and professor at the Cologne University of Music and Dance .

biography

Haugsand studied with Gustav Leonhardt at the Amsterdam Conservatory , where he graduated with the Prix d'Excellence.

Haugsand taught at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo and has performed numerous concerts at major festivals in Europe, the USA and Israel as a soloist, chamber musician and conductor of the Norwegian Baroque Orchestra, the ArteReal Ensemble, the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, the NRK Radio Orchestra in Oslo and at the Komische Oper in Berlin.

He has recorded various CDs with great international resonance. He teaches in summer schools at the Academy of Early Music in Tomar in Portugal and at the Ringve International Summer Course in Trondheim , Norway.
