Kevin Gallen (born September 21, 1975 in Chiswick ) is an English football player on the position of a striker .
Life
society
Gallen, who was born in Chiswick, west of London , played in the junior division of the Queens Park Rangers based in west London , with whom he received his first professional contract in 1992 at the age of 17 and in his first season 1992/93 for the youth team of the club 64 Goals scored. At the beginning of the 1993/94 season he scored eight goals in a single game for the youth team. He made his first division debut on August 20, 1994 in a home game against eventual champions Blackburn Rovers , which was lost 1-0.
Gallen stayed with QPR until summer 2000 and moved to Huddersfield Town in August 2000 , which he left after one season. He then played briefly for Barnsley FC and returned in November 2001 to the Queens Park Rangers, with whom he remained under contract in his second leg until the summer of 2007. However, he was loaned to Plymouth Argyle for several months in January 2007 and signed a contract with the Milton Keynes Dons in August 2007 , with whom he was under contract for the next year and a half. After he had already been loaned to Luton Town in November 2008 , he moved to Luton on a contract basis in January 2009 and was there until the end of the 2010/11 season under contract, but was loaned to Barnet FC for two months in late 2010 .
He has since been under contract with Braintree Town and Leverstock Green and currently plays (2012/13 season) for Aylesbury United FC.
National team
In 1993, Gallen won with the English U-18 national team the U-18 European Football Championship held in their own country by beating defending champions Turkey 1-0 in the final. Gallen scored the important opening goal in the opening game against France to make it 1-0 in the 83rd minute (final score 2: 0) and in the second game against the Netherlands the goal to make it 3-0 in the 42nd minute (final score 4: 1).
Gallen later also played for the England U-21 national team , but he was denied an appointment to the senior national team .
