Kevin Hearne (* 9. December 1970 in Arizona , United States ) is an American fantasy - writer .

Hearne grew up in Arizona and is a graduate of Northern Arizona University. He still lives there with his wife and daughter and teaches English in high school .

He became known for his nine-volume series of novels The Iron Druid Chronicles (German: Die Chronik des Eisernen Druiden ), of which one ( Tricked ) was in The New York Times Best Seller list and another ( Shattered ) was in the bestseller list of USA Today did it.

In addition to his chronicle series, he wrote the Star Wars novel Der Erbe der Jedi-Ritter ( Heir to the Jedi ).
