Kevin Livingston (* 24. May 1973 in St. Louis ( Missouri )) is a former American professional - cyclist .

Career

Livingston drove as a professional for eight years. He helped the seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong to two of his seven victories that have since been revoked. But in 2001 the two broke up. After a dispute with his captain Lance Armstrong, the mountain specialist Livingston switched to his biggest competitor Jan Ullrich and the then Team Telekom in 2001 . He ended his career the following year. His last race was the San Francisco Grand Prix in September 2002.

Livingston and Armstrong are now reconciled. He's been running a private bike training center called PedalHard since he left Armstrong's Mellow Johnny’s bicycle business in Austin .

doping

In an investigation report by the Anti-Doping Commission of the French Senate in July 2013, Livingston was accused of being among around 60 drivers who, based on follow-up tests in 2004, had doped with the blood formation hormone erythropoietin (EPO) at the 1998 Tour de France could be proven.
