Kevin Stefanski (born May 8, 1982 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American football coach. He is currently Head Coach of the Cleveland Browns in the NFL . Previously, he was an assistant coach with the Minnesota Vikings for many years .

Career

Stefanski grew up in Philadelphia. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Pennsylvania , for whose football team he was also active as a defensive back . In the 2000 NFL Draft, however, he was not selected, and so he began to work briefly in the coaching team of the University of Pennsylvania after graduating from university. In 2006 he became an assistant coach with the Minnesota Vikings under Head Coach Brad Childress . In the following 14 years he took on various positions at the Minnesota Vikings under various head coaches until he worked his way up to Offensive Coordinator under Mike Zimmer in 2018 , initially on an interim basis and officially from 2019.

On January 13, 2020, Stefanski was introduced as the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns . There he signed a five-year contract. It is his first job as a head coach.
