Kevin van Essen (born August 18, 1989 in Naarden ) is a Dutch football player .
The midfielder began his career at FC Omniworld in the First Division . From 2010 to 2012 he was under contract with the third-class SV Argon . Then he moved back to Telstar's First Division . In May 2015, van Essen tested positive for furosemide during the doping control after the game against Helmond Sport and was banned for two years.
