Khamsing Srinawk ( Thai คำ สิงห์ ศรี นอก , as a pseudonym also Lao Khamhawm ; born December 25, 1930 in Amphoe Bua Yai , Nakhon Ratchasima ) is a Thai author from Isan , the northeast region of Thailand .

Khamsing comes from a rural family and studied at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok . He is best known as the writer of satirical short stories such as The Golden Legged Frog . In 1992 he was honored as a national artist for literature.
