Khawzawl is a small town in the Indian state of Mizoram .

The city is part of the Champhai district . Khawzawl has town status . The city is divided into 5 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census, it had 11,022 inhabitants, of whom 5,616 were men and 5406 were women. Christians make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 98%. Hindus form a minority of around 1%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 96.6%, well above the national average. 98.7% of the population belong to the Scheduled Tribes .
