Khronos Group

The Khronos Group is an industrial consortium founded in 2000 dedicated to the creation and management of open standards in multimedia on a variety of platforms and devices. The more than 100 members include AMD , Intel , NVIDIA , SGI , Apple , Microsoft , Google and Oracle .

  • COLLADA , an open exchange format for data between different 3D programs.
  • glTF , an open exchange format for 3D scenes and models for web browsers.
  • OpenCL , an open standard for cross-platform computing on CPUs and GPUs.
  • OpenGL , an open standard for cross-platform and cross-programming language 3D graphics development.
  • OpenGL ES , a version of OpenGL for embedded systems .
  • OpenMAX , an API for multimedia codecs .
  • OpenML , an open standard for capturing, transporting, processing and displaying and synchronizing digital media.
  • OpenSL ES , an open standard for three-dimensional audio systems.
  • OpenVG , an open standard for speeding up the processing of 2D vector graphics.
  • OpenVX , a planned standard for image processing.
  • OpenXR , a planned, open standard for virtual and augmented reality applications and devices.
  • Vulkan , an open standard for cross-platform and cross-programming language 3D graphics development.
  • WebGL , an OpenGL-ES implementation for web browsers.
