Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche
Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche (born June 18, 1961 in Bhutan ), also known under the name Khyentse Norbu, is a Bhutanese - Tibetan Buddhist teacher ( Lama ), film director and author . He was recognized as the main incarnation of the Tibetan Khyentse lineage.
In addition to training in all of the main schools of Tibetan Buddhism , he studied politics and film studies in the USA . He was an advisor to the Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci when he made the film Little Buddha . In 1999 he made his film debut with Game of the Gods , the first Bhutanese feature film. In 2003 his second film, Of Travelers and Magicians, was released .
