The Dzongsar Monastery ( Tib. Rdzong gsar dgon pa ) in the circle Dege of the Autonomous District Garzê of Tibetans in the northwestern Chinese province of Sichuan is a Buddhist monastery of the Sakya -Schule. It was founded in 746. A school for traditional Tibetan medicine is attached to it . It is the seat of the Dzongsar Rinpoche (Dzongsar Khyentse lineage holder).
