The Kiessee Dreenkrögen is a lake created by gravel mining northeast of the town Dreenkrögen in the municipality of Wöbbelin in southwest Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
The body of water has a triangular shape and is bordered by a forest to the west. North of the lake, separated by a narrow strip of forest, the federal highway 24 passes. A connecting road between Dreenkrögen and Goldenstädt runs on the east side, on which there is a bathing establishment . The lake has an area of 6.8 hectares and a circumference of 1.2 kilometers. The body of water is a quarry pond , which was created by gravel mining. Other lakes of this type directly on the A 24 in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district are located near Kraak and Neu Zachun . The Dreenkrögener Kiessee has no inflows or outflows, is fed by groundwater and has very clear water.
In the lake there are eels, perch, lead, pike, carp, roach, rudd and crucian carp. He is looked after by the fishing club AV 1990 Neustadt-Glewe . Driving with boats, swimming outside the bathing establishment and fishing at the bathing establishment and on the motorway side are not permitted.
