Kiichirō Furukawa

Kiichirō Furukawa ( Japanese 古 川 麒 一郎 , Furukawa Kiichirō ; * July 22, 1929 ; † June 29, 2016 ), also: Kiichiro Hurukawa and Kiitiro Hurukawa , was a Japanese astronomer and asteroid discoverer who worked from the Kiso Observatory .

Together with Hiroki Kōsai, he discovered a total of 92 asteroids between 1976 and 1986.

The asteroid (3425) Hurukawa was named after him.
