Kim Dong-won (* 1965 in Busan , South Korea ) is a South Korean percussionist and composer .
Kim studied traditional Korean percussion from 1986 and worked with masters like Kim Duk-su . He plays instruments such as Janggu , Buk , Guengari and Bara . As a member of Yo-Yo Mas Silk Road Ensemble, he worked on their albums New Impossibilities and Off the Map . For the ensemble he composed the piece Baet Nore (Ferne Horizonte). As a composer, arranger and percussionist he was involved in the albums On the Road and Xpressed Impressions of the Austrian world music group Comin & Goin .
