Kim Min-chan (born February 26, 1987 ) is a South Korean curler .

Career

Kim started curling in Daegu in 1985 . Since 2006 he has played third in Skip Kim Chang-min's team . His first international competition was the Junior Pacific Championship in 2006 , in which he finished third. At the Junior World Championship in the same year he was fifth with the South Korean junior team. The following year he won the silver medal at the Junior Pacific Championships in 2007 .

In 2009 and 2011 he won the bronze medal at the Pacific Championships . After a fourth place in 2012, he won the gold medal in his fourth participation in this competition in 2017 . With this victory, South Korea qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Las Vegas. There Kim came in second after a defeat in the game for 3rd place against the Scottish team around Bruce Mouat in fourth place.

At the 2018 Winter Olympics in his own country, he was nominated as a substitute for the Korean national team for Kim Chang-min. The Koreans finished seventh, with Kim playing in two games.
