Career

Kim appears internationally as a player in the sports group Amrokgang , the club of the Ministry of State Security. In 2007 he was one of the few players born in North Korea to play with his compatriots So Hyok-chol and Kim Song-chol abroad for the Chinese second division club Yanbian FC .

The midfielder was part of the North Korean national team's squad in the final round of the East Asian Cup in August 2005 and made three appearances when he reached third place.
