Kim Nekarda (* 1973 in Giessen ) is a German painter.

Kim Nekarda was born in Gießen in 1973 and grew up in Immenstadt . He attended the Free Art School in Stuttgart from 1995 to 1996, the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1996 to 1999 and then the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 1999 to 2003. In 2002 he was a master student of Günther Förg , and in 2003 he graduated Studies with diploma. Kim Nekarda lives and works in Berlin.

style

Kim Nekarda deals with metaphors , symbols and signs of painting and the human body in his paintings, which are located somewhere between representational and abstraction . In doing so, he makes use of both found images and the imprint of his own body on the canvas, which is always the basis, background and starting point for a painting that can be understood as image research.
