Kim Sang-shik (born December 17, 1976 in Jeollanam-do Province ) is a former South Korean soccer player .
Career
Kim started his career with Ilhwa Chunma in 1999 . There the central defender knew how to convince and on May 30, 2000 he played his first international game for South Korea against Yugoslavia . In 2003 he moved to Gwangju Sangmu Phoenix , where he played during his military service. After completing his two-year service, he returned to his home club Ilhwa Chunma in 2005. There he was able to win a total of three championships. In early 2009, he left the club and joined Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors . There he won two more championships and ended his career after the 2013 season.
In 2006 national coach Dick Advocaat appointed him to the squad for the World Cup . There he came to two short appearances when he was substituted on in the games against Togo and France in the second half.
