Kim Yun-mi ( Korean 김윤미; born April 28, 1981 in Pyongyang ) is a former North Korean table tennis player .

She is right-handed and uses the European penholder stick position as a handle . Kim took part in the 2004 Olympic Games individual competition. Here she won against the Nigerian Cecilia Otu Offiong and lost to the Chinese Wang Nan .

In 2000, the North Korean competed in her first world championship , where she reached the round of 16 with the team. In 2001 she was able to win bronze in the individual as well as silver with the team at the same event. In this tournament she surprised her opponents with her unusual style: on the forehand she pulled topspins with a sponge coating, with long pimples on the backhand she repeatedly managed to stab the ball off in a disgusting way .

In 2002 she won the Asian Games with the North Korean selection .
