Kimbie Humer-Vogl

Kimbie Humer-Vogl (* 1971 in Rustenburg , South Africa ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ) and clinical psychologist. She has been a member of the Salzburg state parliament since 2013 and was first deputy chairwoman of the club until March 2019. After the municipal council and mayoral elections in Salzburg in 2019 , she succeeded Martina Berthold on March 18, 2019 as a club chairwoman in the state parliament due to her move to the Salzburg city government.

education and profession

Humer-Vogl studied psychology followed by a doctorate in Salzburg and also completed numerous additional training courses in the areas of clinical psychology and health psychology, emergency psychology and validation. Her professional focus is on health, clinical and geriatric psychology. She has worked at the counseling center of the Psychological Institute at the University of Salzburg since 1994 and has been a lecturer for various institutions since 1996. Furthermore, she worked from 1997 to 2002 as an integration specialist at pro mente Salzburg, where she was involved in setting up work assistance for the deaf in the state of Salzburg. In addition, she has been active in the project organization at pro mente Salzburg since 1999 in the areas of education and public relations and was also entrusted with the education management for the pro mente Academy Vienna in 2010.

Kimbie Humer-Vogl has been active in the Hallein Greens community group since 2009 and in 2011 took on the role of district spokeswoman for the GRÜNEN Tennengau. She ran for the Salzburg Greens in third place on the state list in the 2013 state elections and was sworn in as a member of parliament on June 19, 2013 after the Greens were elected. She is the spokesperson for education, science and research, family and childcare, health, integration of disabled people, social affairs, senior citizens, sport, religion and voluntary work within the green state parliament club, and she also took on the role of first deputy chairwoman of the club. Her political areas of interest are health, senior citizens / care, education, women and integration / migration / minorities.

In addition, Humer-Vogl is active on the board and as a trainer in the Hallein gymnastics club as well as chairwoman of the parents' association of the Hallein-Stadt elementary school and as a board member of the parish council Hallein-Neualm.

Private

Humer-Vogl came to Austria at the age of six without being able to speak a word of German. She is married to the community representative and spokesman for the Hallein Greens, Wilfried Vogl, and has four children. She lives with her family in Hallein.
