Martina Berthold (born February 13, 1970 in Linz ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ). From 2013 to 2018 she was regional councilor in the regional government Haslauer junior. I .

Life

Berthold graduated from Steyr . From 1988 she studied educational sciences , psychology , sociology and theology at the University of Salzburg . From 1995 she worked as a freelancer. Berthold completed his studies in 1996 as a Magistra . She worked full-time for the State of Salzburg from 1996 , first in the office for women's issues and equal opportunities, from 2002 to 2009 in the education department and since then in the organizational consultancy of the staff unit for central tasks. In 2007 she graduated from the Salzburg Management Business School to MBA in project and process management.

From 2003 to 2009 Berthold was the spokeswoman for the Green Women in Salzburg. In the 2004 state elections , she was third in the state list and missed entry into the state parliament by only 40 votes. From 2010 she was on the board of the Green Education Workshop Austria . After the state elections in 2013 , in which the Greens, after an election campaign marked by the Salzburg speculation scandal, achieved their best result so far at state level with 20.2% of the votes and 7 mandates, she was, after brief negotiations, together with the Greens ÖVP and Team Stronach under the new governor Wilfried Haslauer formed coalition government, from June 19, 2013 regional councilor with the agendas of childcare, adult education, universities, research, science, youth, family, generations, integration, migration, sport, women and equal opportunities.

After the state elections in 2018 , she was sworn in as a member of the Salzburg state parliament on June 13, 2018 in the constituent session of the 16th legislative period . In June 2018 Martina Berthold was elected as the successor to Johann Padutsch as chairwoman of the Salzburg citizens' list. On March 18, 2019, she was replaced by Kimbie Humer-Vogl as club chairwoman in the state parliament on May 8, 2019 due to her move to the Salzburg city government .

In the municipal council elections on March 10, 2019, Berthold ran as the top candidate for the citizens' list - The Greens. She received 13.0 percent of the vote in the mayoral election.
