After nine years, the attacker left the club and was from SC Bern of the Swiss National League A committed. For the Bernese he was in 42 games of the main round on the ice in the 2005/06 season and posted 37 scorer points, including 16 goals. Shortly after the start of the 2009/10 DEL season , the striker signed a one-year contract with the Hamburg Freezers from the German Ice Hockey League , which, however, was terminated in January 2010 at Kuchta's request for family reasons. He then returned to Helsingfors IFK.
