The Seevorstadt-Ost daycare center is located at Gret-Palucca-Straße 3 in Dresden and has been a listed building since 2004.

description

The crèche is a prototype designed by the architects Helmut Trau establish and collective and was built from 1963 to 1965. Two pavilions with four group units belong to the building complex of the crèche originally planned for 72 children . Playgrounds loosen up the complex. The buildings were designed in "brick construction with prestressed concrete ceilings". The ramp connections between the floors, which enable barrier-free access, are characteristic. The south wing built for the commercial section is a one and a half story structure. The open spaces were designed by Werner Bauch . Helmut Heinze and Harry Schulze designed the wall surfaces with polished clinker.

Today, the building is home to the “Rasselbande” day care center run by Jugend- und Sozialwerk Oranienburg gGmbH with 72 places.
