Church Rosin

Kirch Rosin is a district of the municipality Mühl Rosin , Amt Güstrow-Land , Rostock district in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It was first mentioned in a document in 1228. About 200 people live in the village.

Geographical location

Kirch Rosin is located about 6 km southeast of the core town of Güstrow and 2 km southeast of the community center Mühl Rosin. It is located in the fog just south of the Heidberge . In the village, separated by the fog tributary Teuchelbach (Mühl- / Mühlenbach) into a south-west and north-east part, lies the approximately eight-hectare Kirch Rosiner See , through which the Teuchelbach flows. The international Berlin-Copenhagen cycle route leads past the village.

history

On July 1, 1950, Kirch Rosin was incorporated into Mühl Rosin.

Village church

The village church Kirch Rosin , which was built in 1270 by Cistercians from Michaelstein (Harz) , stands on a small hill at the village entrance . The church, a Gothic hall structure, has valuable wall paintings from the 17th century, which were only discovered during the restoration of the church in 1988. The organ was built by Heinrich Rasche in 1843 .
