The Teuchelbach , also Stadtgraben or Mühlbach, is a river in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It rises near Reimershagen and flows from there in a northerly direction through the villages of Bellin and Kirch Rosin with the Kirch Rosiner See . There it changes its name and flows as Mühlbach or Mühlenbach through Mühl Rosin , where it drove a mill, into the Inselsee . From the northern end of the Inselsee it flows on to Güstrow , where it changes its name again to Stadtgraben and flows around the old town and the castle garden . It used to be part of the Güstrow city fortifications. In the rose garden it then flows into the mist .

Until the 14th century, the Teuchelbach in Kirch Rosin flowed directly into the fog. Around 1320, the moat was dug between the Rosiner See church and the Inselsee lake. In 2012 the original connection to the Nebel was restored.

The Güstrow duck race takes place every year on the city moat .

The Teuchelbach and its surroundings are part of the FFH area Nebeltal with tributaries, connected lakes and adjacent forests .
