The Kirchberg is a 344.1 m high mountain in the Palatinate Forest ( Rhineland-Palatinate ). The remains of a refugee castle , called Heidenlöcher , lie on its crest , and the Michael's chapel stands on its eastern slope .

location
The Kirchberg is located northwest of the Palatinate country town Deidesheim on its boundary, the summit is approx. 1.3 km from the edge of the settlement. To the north of the Kirchberg lies the Einstal and to the south the Sensental.
Natural allocation
The Kirchberg is on the edge of the Haardt low mountain range , which belongs to the Palatinate Forest natural area.
