The Altenhagen Church is a church building in Altenhagen in the Mecklenburg Lake District . It belongs to the parish of Altenhagen of the Demmin provost in the Pomeranian parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany . The church is a simple, towerless half-timbered building on a rectangular floor plan.

history

The oldest mention of a church in the place called Hinrichshagen at that time is from 1311. The Voss on Wolde confirmed the possession of two Hägerhufen to the church founded by their ancestors with all justice.

After the Thirty Years' War, the now preserved half-timbered church was rebuilt as an emergency church in the second half of the 17th century . The remains of burned stables were used as building material.

In 1993 the church was renovated.

Interior

The pulpit has been preserved from the former baroque altar. The baptismal fonts and the west and south pores are also late baroque. The altar table and stalls are modern. The organ was built in 1968 by Ulrich Fahlberg and has three stops without a pedal.
