The church Masans is after the Martin Church and Comanderkirche the smallest of the three sites of the sermon reformed Parish Chur and congruent with this colloquium IV Chur . It is located on the edge of the Masans district of Chur on Masanserstrasse.

history

A hospital, which was maintained by the diocese of Chur , used to stand on the floor of today's church . The oldest building structure of the church goes back to the 13th century. The church is consecrated to St. Sebastian, the saint of the plague .

The tower dates from pre-Reformation times and was built around 1500. The last renovation took place in 1998.

use

The parsonage's parsonage and the parish hall are attached directly to the church. The Masans Church is also the site of the monthly services in Rhaeto-Romanic in the otherwise largely German-speaking Chur.
