The Sommersdorf Church is a church building in the municipality of Sommersdorf in the Mecklenburg Lake District . It belongs to the Kummerow parish in the Demmin provost of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District .

The church was built in the 17th century, probably in place of an earlier building, made of field stone mixed with brick and an eastern half-timbered gable on an approximately square floor plan. The western gable was renewed around 1900. The church has three long sides and two relatively small segment-arched windows in the east wall.

The pulpit from oak wood with rich Schnitzdekor in the style of Renaissance is dated to the 1600th The late medieval altarpiece contains the depictions of the twelve apostles in the side wings . In the central shrine, Mary and the child are depicted flanked on both sides by two saints placed one above the other.

The bells are in a free-standing wooden belfry in the churchyard. The bell was cast by F. Schünemann in Demmin in 1840 .
