The Church of Bagsvaerd , a district of the municipality Gladsaxe in the Copenhagen metropolitan area , is a church building of the Evangelical Lutheran Danish People's Church . The parish belongs to the Gladsaxe-Herlev provost in the Diocese of Helsingør .

It was designed by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon and opened in 1976. The strict exterior shape of the church contrasts with the dynamic architecture of the interior. The roof is made from prefabricated arched reinforced concrete elements.

The architecture critic Kenneth Frampton counts the church as one of the most important examples of critical regionalism .
