The Barth Church Library is a collection of around 4,000 manuscripts, books and prints in the Marienkirche in Barth . Together with the library of the Ministry of Spirituality in Greifswald Cathedral and the St. Petri Church Library in Wolgast, it is a historically significant library in Western Pomerania.

The library was first mentioned on June 3, 1398, when the pastor Hermann Hut (Hoet) donated a number of books to the church in his will. As a result, the church library was constantly expanded. It contains u. a. the extensive collection of the Barther reformer Johannes Block , all of Luther's writings in the first edition, writings of Melanchthon and an extensive Merian encyclopedia from 1642.

The church library survived the two world wars without any significant damage or loss. Today, a development association supports the community in maintaining and restoring the holdings.

After extensive restoration work between 2011 and 2013, the church library was reopened on April 19, 2013 with a ceremony. The historic library room in St. Mary's Church is also to be used as a repository for historical book holdings from smaller surrounding communities.
