Kirchkimmen is a district of the municipality of Hude (Oldenburg) in the district of Oldenburg in Lower Saxony .

Geography and transport links

The district is located about 4.5 km southwest of Hude an der Bremer Straße (K 343, formerly B 75). To the east is the connection to the nearby A 28 motorway and the 627 hectare Hasbruch nature reserve . The Kimmer Bäke flows through the place.

Kirchkimmen was first mentioned in a document in 1243.

Attractions

In 1985, in collaboration with Wolf E. Schultz and the Kirchkimmen farmers, an artesian well was built at the Kimmer Bäke . It is on the street An der Kimmer Bäke in Kirchkimmen, 20 meters from Bremer Straße .
