from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Church set or Kirch set is a legal concept alemannischen origin and was from the Middle Ages to the modern era used.

The patronage law , which arose from the private church system , granted the church lord (owner of the patronage right over a church) or the church patron (name customary from the 17th century), along with benefices, among other things, the right to participate in filling the pastoral position , the so-called church rate or church rate .

In most cases, this right was tied to a specific estate (hamlet, village, town, manor) or only to a piece of land and was transferable with it. The church rate usually passed to the new owner together with the property rights, be it as a pledge , in the case of an inheritance / inheritance , in the case of sale or a gift .

In contrast to the Kollatur , the Kirchsatz was often perceived by secular landlords or noble landowners .
