Cherry (heraldry)
In heraldry, the cherry is a not often used heraldic figure .
In the shield or field , the ripe fruit of the cherry tree is shown with a stem and often with attached leaves and branches. If the latter is present, the figure is with cherry branch described . The coloring is mainly red, other colors or metals are less common. The arrangement of two or three fruits still connected to the stems in the natural position (like hanging on a tree) or they are placed from the center of the coat of arms in a three-pass is popular . Several twins or triplets can bar - or pile as are provided. A representation with other heraldic figures is possible.
The cherry can also be hanging on the tree in the coat of arms, here mostly in a representation with a large number. If the cherry tree is depicted in bloom, the blazon is more difficult, as there is no clear characteristic of the description.
