Mount Kitanglad is a dormant volcano in the Kitanglad Mountain Range in Bukidnon Province . At 2899 m above sea level, it is officially the fourth highest mountain in the Philippines .
Mount Kitanglad is located between Malaybalay City and the boroughs of Lantapan , Impasug-ong , Sumilao and Libona .
Mount Kitanglad was declared a protected area in the category of a natural park on October 24, 1996, Mount Kitanglad Range Natural Park . On November 9, the Philippine Congress passed a law called the Mt. Kitanglad Range Protected Area Act of 2000, which fully protected this area.
