Kitiara Braune (* 1996 in Greiz ) is a Swedish violinist and composer .

Life

Kitiara Braune was born in Greiz (Thuringia) in 1996 and grew up in Sweden. At the age of four she began to play the violin under the guidance of Henryk Nowakowski. In 2007 Kitiara Braune moved from Boden to Stockholm . There she received her further musical education with Nina Balabina and Oleg Balabine at the special school for music " Lilla Academies ". She also took regular lessons with Jürgen Geise ( Mozarteum Salzburg ) and Roland Baldini ( University of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig ). She obtained her Master of Music Performance in 2020 at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo (NMH) under Prof. Terje Moe Hansen.

At the age of twelve she made her solo debut with the Norrbotten Youth Symphony Orchestra and her television debut as a soloist with the Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester. In 2011, excerpts from a concert with Kitiara Braune were broadcast on the occasion of a series of programs about young musicians on the cultural broadcaster P2 of the Swedish Radio (SR). Three years later she was several times live in the studio of SR P4. At that time she gave several classical concerts in Boden together with 4 other young musicians.

Kitiara Braune took part in national and international classical music competitions. She has received several grants for her musical achievements, including the cultural grant from the Odd Fellows Lodge in Boden, the Welin grant from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and the Lilly and Henry Sandberg grant.

Musical arrangements by her have been performed in St. Helier and Tallinn , among others . As the youngest participant, she took part in the composers' competition of the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra (SON) in 2013 .
