Kiukainen (Swedish Kiukais ) is a former municipality with 3,338 inhabitants in western Finland . It is located around 45 km east of the port city of Pori in the Satakunta landscape . Only Finnish is spoken in Kiukainen.

At the beginning of 2009, Kiukainen was incorporated into the neighboring municipality of Eura .

The municipality existed since 1872 and includes beside the Kirchdorf Kiukainen the places Eurakoski, Harola, Köylypolvi, Laihia, Laukola, Mäkelä, Panelia and Rahvola. Since 1989 the community has had a partnership with the Russian city of Boksitogorsk .

The villages of the municipality still have wooden houses from the 19th and early 20th centuries and, as a whole, represent a charming cultural landscape. The wooden parish church of Kiukainen was built in 1761, the bell tower in Empire style in 1846. The granite church of the village comes from from 1909. There are numerous stone hill tombs scattered across the municipality , including the so-called “King's Tomb” ( Kuninkaanhauta ), the largest of its kind in Finland.

The largest employers in the municipality are the municipal administration and various medium-sized industrial and craft businesses, including a glazier and until 2003 the leather factory Satanahka or the subsequent Sata Leather.
